I want a Matamp 50w head. So i can put a Line 6 M36 and 17 EHX pedals through it and completely fuck the tonal quality up. 8)
No really, i love the thought of pure tone. Guitar>Amp. Nothing better, less is more. WANT.

I am Happy with my Dual Terror and someday may get a Thunder 30 if funds allow
45-50W isn't much louder than 30Watts.
yes, but the two Oranges can be run at 7/15/30 watts as needed
kylinder wrote:I have two 30w amps and I find them both already too loud for my needs haha.

I'd like to try a Marshall Class 5 as a small bedroom amp. Has anyone used one?
a Class 5 is to loud for a bedroom amp, it will piss ur neighbors off easily, it would work if u ran it clean and hit it with pedals thou
Haha I think I already piss them off with my Selmer Zodiac at full whack. No complaints yet though :D

My guitar tutor has one as a back up, sounds lush.
i have a blue line microbass and it's pretty awesome. has better cleans at any volume than most amps i've ever played, and handles pedals really well.

my dream amp is probably a vox super beatle 2x12 combo for solid state, and a Vox AC30 English RI with one greenback and one blue bulldog for a tube amp (exactly like the fried one i sold for peanuts).

After band practice tonight I must say that my Bassman 50 is pretty much all I could want/need, it was sounding great. My Carlsbro 50 Top is also pretty awesome but i haven't played it for a while, maybe i'll take it along to band practice next time.

Here's a photo of both of them.

Not sure about any particular amp, but if i were to start with my current one, an old Peavey Duece, I'd

Keep:
The two channels, that can be played seperately or blended. Both channels can be played clean or distorted. One channel's distortion is better for tubey warmth, the other for metal and punk. Really, this is why i got the thing, well, and it was 200 bucks. I can dial in a lot of tones, from 60's sabbath, to marshally distortion, to (almost) fender cleans, and blend them together.
Super loud, i never have to play above four at the very most.
The black widow speakers are quite nice.
the reverb is nice too. not quite Fender, but pretty darn close.
It gives out free hand jobs

Change:
The thing is TOO DAMNED HEAVY. I mean rediculously heavy. it's only 2 twelves, so no one believes me, until they have to lug it around. I'm gonna put some coasters on it, to roll it around, and handles on the sides so i can share the burden with some unlucky friend/band mate/girlfriend
It's a hybrid, and for a hybrid, it's pretty awesome, but all tube would be prefered.

I can't imagine ever wanting more than 2 12s or 4 10s

i guess if i could get some nice orange-style distortion, with it's lovely controlable feedback, that would be nice

the Duece also has a phaser, which in my amp doesn't work, but i'd hardly use it anyway.

I'd have Robroe design the aesthetics, such as the grill cloth, etc.

it would also have a projector to display internet porn onto the audience.

Lol. Does the guitar signal know what day it is by the time it hits your amp?

By that time, it has morphed into an undulating tidal wave of chrome orchids; it doesn't care what time it is.

I'm old enough, and drunk enough not to be able to disagree with it (guitar signal) anyway. =]

Gaybear: What the hell, signal? didn't i send you on your way five minutes ago?
Guitar Signal: No, mang, that was just a milisecond ago, I'm quite sure of it.
Gaybear: Was it really? Well, shit.

My 2 amp heads I own are boss and I love them, I'd swap my Bass 4x12 for an 8x12 in a second though.

All these answers are great as they're introducing me to amps i'd never heard of before.

I'd love to have my play my amps outside like on a big stage. Would be cool to hear what they sound like. I'll have to start a good band.. haha

You don't need a good band to play big stages, just ask Biffy Clyro.

Haha deep.

It would help if I actually started/was in a band...
