Yeah, smaller body is often responsible for neck dive. It's why SGs are notorious for it. It has that small body and then still has a big fat neck, creating a lever where when you have the guitar on a strap, the neck-side is heavier than the body side.

But with the Thunderbird, it starts with the body itself, which has a tendency to favor the neck side. The baseball bat doesn't help, though.

I was thinking that while the neck dive might be great, the lighter weight of the bass itself would help keep your shoulder from breaking, as the full size t-bird is notorious for.
