Well, the Harmonic Perc. I've always been curious of the Utility one.

I love my devi ever karaoke party. It sounds like my sunn amp on 6-10, and has the most vOlume on tap of any pedal I've ever played!

My only overdrive at the moment is a Coopersonic Twin Tube Overdrive.....earlier version of what has become the "Valveslapper".

It is a really good tube overdrive and at higher gain essentially becomes a somewhat muffish fuzz.

I have a Valveslapper but I use for higher gain stuff. Never tried it for lower gain but i'm sure it's more than capable.

What kind of tubes do you have in it?

Right now I have NOS Mullard 12AT7's.....will still do higher gain (kind of fuzzy which I like). Previous to that I had a couple of NOS RCA 12AU7's in it. With those it would only do low gain and functioned as a really great girthy boost for much of the range of the gain knob. With the 12AU7's I felt like I had neutered the pedal even though it did the boost to low gain stuff well...so I put the 12AT7's in.

I have the stock ones still. I didn't really want to start swapping the tubes out as i'd end up on a neverending quest to find the 'perfect' tubes. I like the stock ones so i'll keep them until the wear out.

I'd say the OCD as well. not used anything else since i've had it.
has plenty of gain and volume, so you can use it for boosting or low and high gain drive sounds.

normally i use mine in LP mode with gain around 10 and volume at noon. gives me a nice all round drive sound that also gives the amp a little more gain too.

the CC drive is a pretty good clone of the OCD, but with a brighter tone i'd say and tad more gain.

DLS, again great amp like pedal. a mainstay for me till i got a new amp. if you got one of the MBM clones, you could get it with the mode toggle wired to a stomper. gives you the option of changing from a lighter plexi sound to a slightly gainy jcm 800 kinds drive.

I've been impressed with the Fulltone Distortion Pro I got for cheaps recently. It does higher gain stuff well but it also covers lower gain well too.

Yeah, love the CC drive I got off othomas. That's definitely my high gain option though, still too grimey at low levels for me. I hadn't mentioned til now because of the price but a MOSFET Blackstone is amazing for low gain, so if you can find a clone (wink wink MBM) they're great.

I used to use an old RAT for low gain stuff but I've taken it off my board now that I have The Internet.
I was never really using either of these pedals for what people call "amp-like overdrive", seeing as my amp does this for me but at tame settings, either the RAT or The Internet does a great "gravel in a rusty bucket" kinda thing....

Love mine heaps, justified the purchase because I scored it used.

Definitely shines at lower gain levels, sounds decent with solid state amps, and granted that the internal trimpots are set to voice well with the overall setup, it really feels like you just turned up your amp. It's taught me a bit about using my guitar's volume pot to control how much dirt I want, since it sounds so natural on its own (especially the red channel). On a side note, the using your fingernail to "set and forget" part is more practical than one might expect.

I don't have mine first in the chain so can't really take advantage of that but it's probably the best pedal for stacking I've ever used. Before, after, or in the middle of other drives it adds a lovely mid range thump and girth while not muddying stuff up at all.

Anyone using a Catalinbread SFT?

i've just switched my distortion pro to where my bad monkey was (first in chain, always on, low gain) and stuck the OCD after it, i'm interested to see how things sound at rehearsal. not sure if i'll like the clarity, i'm used to lo-fi, honky mids.
