I wish his coronado would be possessed by the devil and eat him alive.
He is to blame for the baby-talk indie-rock vocal epidemic. HE IS TO BLAME AND MUST BE PUNISHED!

If by "baby-talk," you mean singing with a soft voice, I think you best turn your
attentions and frustrations towards the likes of Elliot Smith and My Bloody Valentine.

Something is wrong with me.

I've been listening to the stream of the DCFC record and this song is actually growing on me. Separate it from the silly video and it's actually not bad.
Catchy anyway.

I can't put my finger on what they've done to Gibbard's voice on this album... Sounds weird.

I would never have thought that 'You are a Tourist' would be one of the better songs on the album. I'm a little disappointed...

I've had it on it my headphones most of the day at work whilst I'm hammering away at some pretty involved testbenching here at work, so i've not been giving it enouhg attention really (don't know song names etc) - but I have to say some of them later on the record get my feet jumping.

But then again I do have restless dancing feet

'Under the Sycamore Tree' is the best track I think. Although my mind might change after a few more listens. 'Stay Home, Go Dancing' can get te' fuck though. Happy pop song bollox. Also liking 'Monday Morning'

But yes, the best songs are towards the end.

I just had a glance and I think Sycamore, and Doors Unlocked... are two that jump out at me for nice jiggly bits

No to derail the subject, but I'm afraid Mr. Delonge's voice was contagious enough to infect a good amount of Japan:
