went to hot rox last week to buy new valves. they were helpful. i was surprised by the number of pedals they had in, but had to avoid them.

Sometimes i stumble across Guitar Shops in different towns being in the building trade out and about. I always have to call in, although over the years they have become more and more standard fare.
Hotrox is good if pedals give you a bonar, 'Fuzz' in Hockley however has the guitars, lots of choice if you are prepared to re-mortgage. Have you been in Fuzz yet Rob? Near Ice 9, Wild Clothing etc.

i'm glad guitar guitar is as far away from me as it's possible to get in this city- they have some really nice stuff. that was where i first played a jag and jazzmaster, come to think of it. they had a batch of imported matching headstock jobs in; burgundy mist, sherwood green, daphne blue...
lots of nice rickenbackers and gretsches currently in stock, i notice.

Ice 9? Perhaps. Its one of them places you can buy a Bong with a Bob Marley poster and all that nonsense.

Sounds like the place. I remember the name from a quite a few years ago when I went to visit my mate for his birthday and we went for a little 'adventure' to celebrate.

tehe.
I am so jealous. I feel like shops selling stuff over the counter is stuff of lore.
So much better that they also sell guitars.

They've got some ace stuff in Rob, all the big names, pedals, amps, etc. Not a big place but well worth checking out.
There's a Fender Deluxe in there finished in orange with black comp stripes, looks great but its about £700..

I walk past Guitar Zone in Halifax every day on my way home from school. I used to go in at least once a week but I'm restraining myself more often now. They have a lot of really really nice Hagstroms in there.
