Well it inspired me to build my own jazzmaster. Eat that, fender.

When a Leo Fender designed guitar has some oddity about it, I somehow think that "Leo wanted it that way" is a perfectly apt reason to keep it exactly the way Leo wanted it. In many ways, I can understand how Christians feel.
Thing I've always loved about that is he didn't stick to previous designs. The most recent iterations of "Leo wanted it that way" would get you a G&L. He even didn't want to use the Tele shape for the ASATs.
