Yeah but you're still perpetuating the whole "Fender guitars are desirable" mindset because you build your own Fender-style guitar.

Even the Fender guitars I don't like, I prefer to most non-Fenders I kinda like.

When a Leo Fender designed guitar has some oddity about it, I somehow think that "Leo wanted it that way" is a perfectly apt reason to keep it exactly the way Leo wanted it. In many ways, I can understand how Christians feel.

Thing I've always loved about that is he didn't stick to previous designs. The most recent iterations of "Leo wanted it that way" would get you a G&L. He even didn't want to use the Tele shape for the ASATs. "Leo wanted it that way" is more like "Leo made it that way before he found a better way of doing things".

I know I'm preaching to the choir.
