man it was i remember when everyone used to daisy chain there pedals up on the stage and pack them up in a rucksack, no boards or anything. I'm still doing it now as i don't take my home board to practice but I'm wasting time setting up and I'm now lazy so thats why I want the pedalboard. to many options but the gator ones look good value. In fact I probably would of gone for the one you sold but it was pick up only and I couldn't come pick it up

Did you make your own case/surround? I have mounted the power under my Gorm and if it was easy to transport I wouldn't of posted.
Fran, that looks sweet and a good price, what number of pedals do you get on? I have 6 and a few that are larger than boss standard size (EHX size ones).
Yeah, me and my Dad made the whole thing. That was what I wanted from the off, so we had to build the actual board whilst taking the lid into consideration. It wasn't easy and took a bit of sanding/re-adjusting but we got it pretty much spot on after a few attempts. It works an absolute treat and the case/board had been gigged loads and hasn't suffered too much damage. I keep planning to re varnish it to make the wood a bit stronger but haven't got round to it yet... simply because its a right ball ache to get all of the pedals off the board! That's Heavy Duty Velcro for you though!

I've recently gone down the self built route lorez. I've had both the gator tote and the kinsman boards. I don'nt use the kinsman anymore as is too big for what I need. I use 3-4 pedals max, so a little piece of mdf suits me better than a big board with gaps of unfilled space. I may be parting with the kinsman if your interested.

there are a lot of bands that seem to enjoy the ritual of that as part of their aesthetic. they put the pedals in their original boxes then stick them in an old suitcase. i couldn't be fucked with the amount of time that takes, personally.

lorez, get yourself to Bishopston Hardware on Gloucester Road. They have a wood off-cut box out front. I put this together for about a fiver by doing that.
I am inspired by Simon and his home made box though, that looks ace. Might have a bash at making one of those to put my board in.

I have a 1/2" thick tinted lexan door from some rack equipment cabinet. It was in a heap of old equipment being trashed on the Navy base I work on occasionally. I think the velcro cost me $10.

thats what mine looks like currently but its the portability that is an issue, its great for home but a bitch to take to practice. That place is only around the corner from me anyway so I will take a look anyway.

No it doesn't sadly, it would be a good addition. You could probably rivet something on I think?
I always have a gig bag on my shoulders so it probably wouldn't work for me anyway.

Thats a shame, I'll probably end up plumping for a second hand PT Jr if I can find one/sell my diago and have enough money. Won't be for a while though.
I was looking at these as well and was concerned about the size but that looks like it might fit everything I would need to get on there.

My bandmate also uses one. For him it was a way too floppy, so he sawed a wooden board to fit the bag, now it is hard. He made me a board too, but i took it off again, because i like it a bit more flexible...
Very good is the quality - and the little bag on the cover.

Has anyone here had any experience with Lyt pedalboards? I'm wondering what I should do with my own setup as it's cluttered.
He made me a board too, but i took it off again, because i like it a bit more flexible...
