truth be told. something I never did tell you is that I was intentionally putting a little beer on the strings because I like the way dead strings sound and feel. in the process, I spilled beer on it and it quit working. the good news is that I unsoldered the pickup and it still had output.

I shouldn't have told you that.
It was kind of how I told you someone was driving my car and hit a curb. Good news, I got two new tires for my car and it doesn't wobble when I drive it now.

yup. it kills a lot of the brightness to the strings. If you use very much, it will completely kills the strings.

I got the idea from Danny Gatton. you also don't pour the beer on the strings . . . I'm not dumping beer on the guitar.
