Yo billy! So, i think it was you who reccomended getting started with finger picks sooner than later. and so i got some as soon as i could but man, it's weird.
i'm still plucking away with them, but it's a weird sensation to not be able to feel the strings on your fingARS

Yea, I use finger picks. The metal ones on my index and middle fingers feel pretty natural to me. It is weird not feeling the strings, but since the technique is pretty much the same as fingerpicking for guitar, I picked it up pretty easily. I've been using Dunlop thumb picks which seem to be just a tad too long for me though, so I would like to find some shorter thumb picks. I've found that using finger picks on banjo, I've been able to play faster than I could with just my fingers or with a flat pick. How were you playing before you got the finger picks? Were you playing claw hammer style?
