If there are no termites in it now, what's to say it wouldn't disintegrate with a bit of sweat or pressure from rocking out? Would there be anyway to reinforce without covering it in lacquer or something? The inside could be completely hollow in some places.

I'd definitely play it if it was serviceable though. Maybe strategically inject it with wood glue lolz

looks like the neck joint has been eaten through, might not stand string tension given how weak the wood may be.

Just fill the holes in the neck pocket with wood glue and filler, should be alright. Single neck pickup and wraparound stop tail with no knobs sounds about right.

You could also drill a hole straight down between the neck screws into the body and hammer a dowel in there. Lots of ways to fix it. At the stage this thing is at you wouldn't be too bothered about leaving it as is.

All you jerks make jokes about using termites to route a guitar... well someone actually did it and look what happend

I'd use carbon rods instead of dowels.

I want it in a strange way. If I had a cheap MIJ jag laying around I'd probably get it and swap the body. If I was in a band with any notoriety my fans would post on shortscale asking how to get my tone and you'd all have to say "his guitar was eaten by termites, that's the only way"

Would hitting it with a liquid epoxy followed by something like quickwood be a good option.

So sad.

I wonder how many of those termites died of cancer. :(

I can't believe the shipping is 47 dollars.
Anyway, whose to say where it's all hollowed out. Using the trem might collapse the wood.
I don't know what vintage Jags weighed but I asked this guy some days ago and he said it weighed four some pounds, about the same as an AVRI body. So could they really have eaten away much of it?

Smash it.

Bury a small explosive (cherry bomb? m80?) in the body, detonate your guitar during a show.

Wear eye protection.

Burn it on stage. Can you even imagine how it'd burn, how lighter fluid would seep into the wood through those holes?

Edit; Whoa somebody overpaid. Damn.
