Affinity Strats are great. Not as great as a Standard with its twin-pivot bridge and 22-fret neck and AlNiCo pickups, but still great.

Thanks to everyone for their input. I have a tentative deal set up for tomorrow afternoon for an Arctic white (more like vanilla pudding yellow) Bullet for $60 that's supposed to be in great shape. I looked at Affinity Strats as well, but didn't see any that were near that price point compared to the Bullets on CL.

People seem to think that GFS has dropped off in customer service lately as well, which kind of exposes their products for being slightly marked up mass market products, really. Yes, you can get a lot of comparable parts even cheaper from other sellers, like bezdez there on Ebay.
I don't know anything about their guitars but their pickups are amazing and I've never had problems with communication from them, or with any of their products that I've purchased. Even as far as Xaviere guitars go, I've heard so many people rave about how awesome the SX guitars and basses are from Rondo music and all the ones I've played have been terrible pieces of garbage, and they've all been heavy as shit. So I wouldn't suggest that they're better than Xaviere just because a few people gave them bad reviews.

Also, what are you basing your "marked up mass market products" comment on? Their prices haven't changed at all in the last few years that I've been buying pickups from them, and they always are top quality. I've never found a budget pickup that sounds as good or is as reliable as GFS.

Are their pickups and pedals and such not just standard Artec ones?

Thanks to everyone here for the input. I picked it up yesterday and had a proper setup done this afternoon and it plays and stays in tune better now. I haven't really played any other Strats other than just for a few minutes at a GC, so I can't compare this to those, but I think it sounds bright and punchy.

Haven't taken a picture, but it looks just like this:
