Re: your grinning moments
YES. i was just about to chime in and say dual terror + my MIJ '62 custom reissue tele. tone and gain pretty much at 12 o clock. middle position for chords. bridge for some spanky dirt. neck for that young widows sound.Progrockabuse wrote:we've all had them, that time you stumble on something out of the blue or pre mediated and it's that good you can't help giving off that "this is fucking great" grin face.
mine has been a stumbling moment where i just stuck my tele into the Dual terror and flicked to the tiny terror channel. tone at 10 o clock and gain at 12 ish. neck and bridge and strike a chord. it sounds fucking brill, the perfect rhythm tone. turned it up well loud and jammed out some stones. tumbling dice!
whats grinning you?
a little lighter thread to distract from those louts in the news.
i have a bunch of amps and the dual terror is my absolute favourite.

I love mine. Imo a valve amp is at its best pushed, you can do that with 15w, but you will never do it with 100w (unless you are already deaf and playing in the middle of a farmers field).ekwatts wrote:This thread is really making me consider selling some stuff for a Tiny Terror (possibly a Dark Terror).
The downside is there is'nt much clean headroom on them.
i think orange does VERY well with master volumes though. i have an orange rocker 30, rockerverb MKI and dual terror in the household and all of them sound great even at low volumes.Fran wrote:I love mine. I'm yet to use my dual terror in 30 watt mode live. It's normally run at 15 dailed for the best dirty clean i can get. The only thing i miss from my fender days is reverb. May end up adding an fx loop in a few years time or trade for a dual terro with fx loop if it ever comes out. Though i could live without it as the tones worth the lack of verb.

i considered adding an fx loop to my dual terror but so far the current mod apparently can only work on one channel which is kind of wonky to me. but yah, if an fx loop was added it'd almost be perfect.Progrockabuse wrote:I'm yet to use my dual terror in 30 watt mode live. Trying to recreate soon by my bloody valentine with my duo sonic on the middle position, into a big muff and marshall reverb into my fender princeton solid state. I kept the pedals on and used my home-made footswitch to change onto the drive channel for the chorus (verse?). When I did that it really beefed up and sounded immense.
