Aye. It's probably from the mid to late 70s and the Matsumoku plant but it's a difficult one to research. It's branded Ventura.

If it was me, and I was after a decent hollowbody with these looks in the same price bracket, I'd go for one of the 90's DeArmond reissues. They're lovely, but going up in price.

The Electromatic hollows came from the Peerless and Samick factories when I got mine. I put Filtertrons in it and it's fabulous.

You see stock ones on Gumtree occasionally but the prices are comparatively high. Benecol's advice is fair enough though - the wee Jets are great value.

This page has the ew Electromatics on it. They don't look much different except for the "Blacktop" Filtertrons on the Pro Jets and the hump-block inlays.

the single cutaway wide bodies are nice, but i always dug the thinner semi-hollows just for my perceived comfort.

when i was hung up on chet, i wanted one of these:

eastwood classic 6. they're slim. could slap a bigsby on and get pretty close. the demo's all sound really great.

from my previous experience in the search for a big bodied hollow, i didn't really find anything that wasn't made by gretsch or gibson, and wasn't $2500. (the sub-$1000 gretsch stuff is total shit.)

Epi Swingster gets a great review, also has a Bigsby style trem & is Gretsch orange
