Aye. It's probably from the mid to late 70s and the Matsumoku plant but it's a difficult one to research. It's branded Ventura.mrperson wrote:Woah, thats a lovely ES175. Is it a copy?
The Electromatic hollows came from the Peerless and Samick factories when I got mine. I put Filtertrons in it and it's fabulous.benecol wrote:Warning: the actual mid-price Gretsch hollowbodies I've played have been pony. The solidbodies less so. A friend of mine swears by his LP-alike one. There's also a bolt-on version of the LP-style one that looks the part but doesn't cost the earth.
If it was me, and I was after a decent hollowbody with these looks in the same price bracket, I'd go for one of the 90's DeArmond reissues. They're lovely, but going up in price.
Looks great either way, would love a go on thatJames wrote:Aye. It's probably from the mid to late 70s and the Matsumoku plant but it's a difficult one to research. It's branded Ventura.mrperson wrote:Woah, thats a lovely ES175. Is it a copy?
