What would be considered a reasonable price for this one? It's calling to me, but the price must be high since nobody's pulled the trigger on it.

No, that's high IMO. It's a Vista, but unlike the other Vista's the Musicmaster was MIC and was not of the same quality of the other MIJ Vista's. They initially went for $175 new. Even being out of production, that's still too high for that guitar. $200-250 would be a deal.

They're not bad guitars but not even close to the other vista models.

Early 70's Musicmaster necks said "music master". Somewhere around 1976-78, they changed it back to "musicmaster"

My 1978 Musicmaster has a 1972 Music Master neck and it is spelled "Music Master"

good to know. thanks! now i don't have to worry that the same person who installed a strat trem on that mm also attempted to route that bridge pickup his or herself.

This is some home made short scale bass I found on eBay. Music master neck, mustang bass pickups. Small, jazz bass style body,
With a b/w/b guard it would look pretty cool.
