Heh. Around here we are somewhat anti-authority and really we want all mods and admins to also be regular users and not seem intimidating to other posters, so we don't wear any kind of badges. We are all normal people who just try to keep things clean, and we aren't completely hard-nosed about the rules. However, on the selling rule we have had issues in the past of people getting ripped off and thus that is one rule we do try to enforce harder than any other rule, really. Otherwise, pretty much anything goes.

Just watch out for Mezz, he likes to hide facts.

Yeah I'm with you on that. the selling rule I'm cool with by all means, same policy on other forums I use.

As for your question, I would advise searching ebay.uk a bit for how much similar Teisco items are going for and base it on that.

I really don't think there's enough rarity value in a plain black Teisco guard from one of their cheap guitars to warrant listing it seperately, but it's obviously up to you.

My instinct would be that a loaded guard is a more attractive proposition as it will also appeal to people who aren't confident about tackling DIY electronics. Add to that the fact that the guard by itself is unlikely to fetch much and it's a no-brainer (for me at least).

Incomplete sets of tuners is always a tough one (if they're good quality ones, that is). Run-of-the-mill ones like these tend to sell for so little that I would personally hang onto them for a time when I need a spare post or button for something I'm fixing up. If you already have plenty of spares, go ahead and chip away at what you paid for the guitar, but don't expect much of a return.

As for your final point - without knowing what you paid for the guitar it's hard to say what's best for you. I recommended a 99p start as it's free to list 99p auctions on eBay and there will definitely be enough interest in the pickups/loaded guard to let the marketplace determine a fair price. If you start it higher you'll have more fees to pay and more likelihood that you'll only get the minimum bid price at the last minute if you set it on the high side.

For what it's worth, I've had stuff on eBay before with a Buy It Now or Best Offer which hasn't even attracted offers then relisted it as an auction and seen it go higher than I was asking first time around. I can only conclude that people get sucked into an auction when they think they might win it and are more likely to bid again if they get outbid.
