I need a humbucker guitar... is there anything I should know about GAX's like what the numbers entail? I am gonna go scourge the local pawn-shaps.
I'm not 100%, but this page seems to have some good info.

The 70 is the one that has the full out Gibbo setup, apparently then there's the 30 which has a strat style selector and only two knobs, and a guard.

the standard model is an AX, I'm pretty sure the G denotes "Gio" which is like ibanez's squier. the numbers just sort of count up in quality/features.

Correct. I have the GAX70L. The GIO part means "cheaper" but really it doesn't mean shit, it's still a great guitar. However, if you go to that link above, they lump the GAX line in with the AX line. All GAX models are listed.

yeah, all the hardware on the GAX70 is identical to the hardware they have on models up to/including their midrange guitars. pickups are obviously different but you can change those to whatever you want.

If you turn out to not like them. I was surprised to find the stock pups on this thing are really, really good.

I keep my eyes open for one of these in white. I'd love to get one, slap some GFS retrotrons in it and a bigsby on it....

I got one for my dad for xmas one year for him to mess around with and he had a blast with it.
