love the idea, Johnny. probably won't happen though. easier just to find yourself a '70s duo (or MM).

I'd be all for a 24" scale, mid to late 60s Duo Sonic II reissue. :)

Yeah, I think this would be the only thing Fender/Squier could make right now that I'd go out and buy without question.

(Olympic white with tortoiseshell, of course.)

If they really want to put a 6-saddle bridge on it, I won't bitch. But everything else better be accurate.

both of that guy's guitars pictured are horrible. he's discarded the coolest parts of each of the constituent instruments; the curve of the mustang-style guard is a thing of beauty, and the bronco bridge is really cool looking, to put it at its simplest.

if you're going to charge $8-10k for a guitar at least make it look a bit nicer than something one of us knocked up in the garage on a wet sunday afternoon.

I agree, the Swinger mashup does nothing for me. I do like the first one better but I've seen much cooler builds
around here. Plus, surely Fender has a Bronco bridge lying around somewhere.

they have to have sold a shit ton of the CV duos, making a duo II makes perfect sense since all the kids want an offset now

THE SQUIER DUO SONIC IS NOT AN OFFSET, ETC.

No, the current Squier Duo Sonic isn't an offset, but I think what Bill is saying is that they should reissue the offset version instead of the 50s era model. Hopefully, once they've done a sufficiently long enough run of the current, 50s inspired model, they'll replace it with an offset Duo Sonic II.

For that matter, since this is the 50th year anniversary of the Jaguar, it would be nice to see a Mascis-like Squier Jag for under $400.
