A few people seem to have misread J7's initial question as "Please recommend a completely untested amp that's only just been released".

Doog asked something similar recently, and I seem to remember my recommendation going down a treat.

JOS KEEEDING! Get an MM Bass amp like the pros (tee-hee) or a Princeton.

I'm so chuffed with my HH, I'd be insane to not recommend you do something similar if one crops up Ebay.

The aforementioned L100 I ended up boring you with over a huge thread takes pedals GREAT, and the EQ is REALLY usable. Loud as balls, but from my general Ebay watching and research, 100w 1x12 combos don't turn up too often.

I live in Croydon, it's 10 miles away from central London.

Thanks for the suggestions. The tube amps look like they may not be clean enough for me, I guess I would to try them. I also have HH as a saved search on ebay.

Theres a Fender M80 combo at my local secondhand shop for £95. Supposed to sound good and be plenty loud. Don't look to bulky either.

They're in Hammersmith which ain't too far from you.

They used to have a shop in Croydon. I think it got nailed during the riots and closed down, it's now a Forbidden Planet. I have some free time over the weekend, maybe i'll go and check it out.

It's a lot lighter that it looks and many gig with them, yours for £75.... and I'm London based.
How loud will it go and stay clean? Sounds slightly dirty to my ears in that video.

I had a quick look at the Ampeg Micro VR, doesn't seem to be able to run one 8 ohm cab though.

They get a bad rap but the fender frontman series are excellent amps if your talking coffeehouse gigs or small venues where they mic the amp the 25r is loud enough and can be had new for 100 bucks if your into something bigger you can pickup the 12 inch speaker 65 watt version for about 100 or 125 used about anywhere I have the 2 12 version and I gig with that over my 1600 dollar tube fender twin. The clean channel is superb
