Wow, the black 'un in the OP is EXACTLY the same as mine! Uncanny really, since I've never seen another one before...full scale, 3/4 sized body, single vol/tone stack, pickguard-mounted jack. All I know about it is it's Korean-made and although mine's black I think there's red paint underneath.

I bought mine second-hand around '97 or '98...all I remember was it was my first guitar and the previous owner sold it along with a Gorilla TC110...a very large and loud but horrid-sounding solid state amp whose only plus-point was a huge-sounding spring reverb. From what little I've gleaned from the serial it dates back to '89 and the amp is long since dead and gone.

The circuitry of the Bullet's unsurprisingly so-so...the pots and wiring of mine are long-gone, clumsily replaced by me for a set of Toneride Pure Vintages to get a decent old-school Strat tone on the cheap. The original tuners were weird...they had two short peg-like bits that went into holes drilled into the back of the headstock; as with the one on this thread, those pairs of holes are covered when you fit standard 'single Philips head screw mounted on the corner' tuners.

Sadly, because it's a cheap old thing and my inexperience meant that I wasn't the most careful of owners. It's in pretty sorry condition now and although it still *plays* well enough with no setup issues I think it's on its last legs and I'm holding onto it for sentimental reasons more than anything. I will say though that the necks of these things are really nice - I don't know if it would bolt onto a standard Strat body and give 'proper' string spacing, but it's the one bit of the guitar I'd want to keep.
