Pretty sure Squier Mustang Basses are 19 frets and the SS Jag Basses are 20.

I feel like jazz basses are probably the best "jack of all trades" basses. I don't own one anymore, and I love my p bass and my rickenbacker, but a good jazz bass really is good for just about any style of music. Haha, dude I think every GC in America has had a mid/late '70s black/black MM bass for $500 at some point. I've seen them at my GC too, and a couple years back once saw 2 black AND 1 white one at my local GC competitor, $525 each for black, $575 for the white. As you say, all day long.
