james when I was looking last year LPB one like yours was being touted around £1250 - £1500 and some going for a lot more. Its a sweet guitat and like other have said don't sell unless you need to

Edit: here's the link Coronado II scroll a couple o guitars down.
he's got a sonic blue one further down and a cherry red one for £1250.

however, dealer prices aren't street prices, and places on denmark street routinely add 100% on to the actual value of a guitar. if you want to know what something's worth, have a look on vintage and rare, half the price and bob's your uncle.
that sonic blue on is stunning, if i'd spotted that last year I would of tried very hard to get it

That's a pretty good point. I'm about to put aside a bit of money but it probably makes more sense to put aside a bit less and keep this for now.

It's pretty similar to yours minus the scratches so you could use that as a ballpark.

I know where you're coming from if you don't play it a heap, but it would probably be silly to sell it unless you actually need to sink that money into something else as equally permanent and enjoyable.
I hadn't seen that one. Will keep an eye on it.

I'm definitely in 'sell to buy' mode as far as gear is concerned. I've a few guitars to sell (other than the Coronado) and was planning on buying something new once that was done though I'm not sure what, yet. If I sell this I'll put the money into something else but I guess unless there's something concrete (or that one on ebay sells for £4k) I'd better off just holding on to it for now. Maybe a sensible plan is to offload the gear that I definitely want to sell, buy something new with the money and see how I feel then.

I still love the guitar, but the majority of time when I pick up something to play it's my bass and I still have hankerings for a Les Paul type.

Yes.

I'm almost certain you'll regret selling it... unless one of us nabs it and uses it and you can see it being put to good use ;)

If I sell it I'd buy a semi-hollow or hollow MIJ guitar in more of a Gibson style. Assuming I could find it, something like this -

I could always try to find that first, buy it and then sell either it or the Coronado depending on how it compares.

I suppose you're all wondering why I painted mine orange instead of SONIC BLUE. Well, it isn't over yet.

That LPB on ebay is luscious with checkerboard.

Went for £1430 + 25 postage.

I was thinking that being so pristine it would probably go for about £200 more than mine would sell for, so I guess by that logic the £1200 somebody said earlier was about right.

dunno, you might get more than £1200 for it after all. the prices of these have really shot up over the past couple of years, i'm definitely hanging on to mine.

Yeah I was bidding on an Antigua one a while back, it went for about £7-800 I think. More than I was willing to pay for that finish.

If you are gonna sell maybe you should do it while there are peeps bidding on them? Coro prices seem to be a lot more varied than most vintage guitars.

I think I'll wait until I need the money for something else. There's definitely a good bit of variance in the pricing but they do seem to be creeping up as well.

The colour of yours should push it up a bit too. F**king lovely guitar.
