Oooh, looks lovely.
Like Doog, I was tempted in by the Viz-esque thread title.

and me.
In hindsight my last Amp thread should have been titled:
Terry Fuckwit bought an old Peavey.

Am glad you're liking it Tim. Think you're a fool for selling the Matamp for a Vox though
(love you really)

For the time being (but not permanently - my wife was not impressed by it being quite a bit bigger than I said it was going to be) it's ousted the Mustang I and is up in our room (where my guitars are too). This means my bedroom now has that NEW AMP SMELL.

My wife thinks the champs large so god knows what she'll think when the bassman arrives

Same as they ever were - it's the post-kids-bedtime practise amp.

Exactly. I had an identical feeling of dread when I unboxed it. About 33% bigger than I was expecting.

I suppose I'm pretty lucky that my girlfriend likes the look of a full stack of amps in the living room. After looking at the Minimat in the classifieds forum I was showing her the 1224 heads on their website. She reckons we should get one, but that we should get one of the cool 212 to go with it so that it matches.

Im also lucky that my wife got me an AC4TV for Christmas before couple of years cause she thought would look cool in the living room

I only have the Mustang I in Brizzle. I'm not sure the Marshall head and 2x12" would be welcome, and we don't really have the space.

Yeah, Jasmine likes amps and guitars but inexplicably hates seeing them in anything she classes as a living area. Which is why I leave a guitar at hers permanently, just to stress her out a bit.

My girlfriend hates my Bassman and 1x12 being out in the spare bedroom, I had to point out that everything in the house that is on display is hers and this 50cm wide area is the only piece of the house which is 'mine' - the 2x12 is currently hiding under the stairs. She did say a while ago that if I had an Orange amp it could be on display all the time in whatever room I wanted it to be, orange is her favourite colour and she things their amps look pretty.

Cheryl doesn't like guitars and amps generally around the house, but has suggested we get a sofa bed instead of the double in the spare room so there enough space for more guitars & amps. Looks like I did well there!

When your missus is a fellow musician, you don't have these problems!

Jasmine plays a mean bass, actually, and has a Japanese 51 P-bass that I love. But she still hates me cluttering the place up with gear.
She needs the space for... her... shoe... collection.. or something.
