except the bridge was flat on the body and no term arm. I didn't think to look on the back as I was rushed - is it available in trem and non-trem versions?

I didn't get to play it for long enough as they took so long to serve me that my wife turned up as just as I was plugging in. Her verdict: "That sounds more like a jazz guitar than the Strat. It looks nice." That was the "P90" into some Vox solid-state 40 watt combo on the clean model. I liked the feel of the neck, I was impressed by the finish and an interesting mix of sounds available from the pickups and 5-way switch. £349 has me interested, I nearly have that saved from gigs over the past 2 years - and she did say "I suppose the running costs aren't as high as cars". The guy in the shop was a bit dismissive of its Chinese origin, but it was better finished fret-wise than the 2000 Gibson Flying V was when I bought it.
