I'm really bonding with this guitar. LOVE the neck, too! Finally, after 3 guitars (4 if I count my acoustic) I have a neck that just seems to fit.

My 13 year old son also really likes this little Mustang. A day after I bought it, we visited Bellevue American Music, a high-end shop on the Eastside. They had a Sonic Blue Kurt Cobain Mustang and we both played it. This is now the guitar he wants to save up for. We're already putting together a playlist for this summer @ the Seattle Center. He'll play my new Mustang + MicroCube and I'll back him up with my short-scale SX Bass + MicroCube Bass.

With a lot of luck, he might make enough money by Christmas to buy this:

That's so cool that your son is working towards a guitar he really wants. Good for him!

When we left the shop he said, "Don't feel bad about comparing the Cobain Mustang to your new 65 Reissue, Dad. Because there's one thing I didn't t like about the Cobain Stang."

I said "Oh, what's that?"

He said: "Nothing! Ha ha!"
