This link gave me the bug to put together my own "Gorm" style pedalboard. I used four 1 x 4 x 36 boards with four 1 x 2 x 16 perpendicular boards. I glued and staple gunned it down. I glued and screwed a 2 x 2 x 36 across the back to give it a tilt. Only issue I have is it isn't laying perfectly flat. Any good/easy way to fix this? Here is how it looks so far. (Under $10 for the lumber.) Needs trimming and painting still.

Lots of cool, simple ideas being floated around here!
Much fun....love the BRÄDA colours, and their size..perfect for a couple of pedals for practice, or small gigs...

Mine did the same, I did culmination of a little sanding & slicing the rubber feet to compensate.

New wood will always buckle especially if painted so might be worth waiting a while for the wood to fully relax before doing this.... mine has buckled a bit more since making those adjustments.

Looks great !! Good homemade boards FTW :D

PS: Anyone with relatively moderate sized boards.... have a look at the Gator Case GK2110. Mine fits a treat !!

Good point. It will probably tweak a bit more when I paint it. I will probably pick up some of these for the front so I can adjust. That case looks pretty sweet. :)

I did have a look for some Gorm action while I was at the MK Ikea today in the hopes I could sell at cost to some of you fine folks, unfortunately, they were all out.

Did some work. I painted it and installed the leveling feet in the front and the felt covered auto leveling feet for the back. Pictures. :)

Adjustable front feet.

Auto leveling feet (like on school desks) on the back.

Looking pretty good. Probably one more coat on the top and then it will be ready for velcro pads.

How do you guys glue the velcro fabric to the board so it doesn't pull up? Super glue? I picked up some red velcro fabric and want to get to applying it.

Sorry, I used "no nails" glue/epoxy stuff

Got pedals on and hooked together. :) Pretty sweet. I just need velcro and some zip ties.
