After a quick mock-up this morning I think I need to find a cream Jag pup cover (Classic player had these I think...) or paint one of my white ones black. The cream/black zebra bucker and white jag cover on a mint guard is a bit whiffy looking. Just too much going on. Changing out the 'bucker isn't an option.

The primer, and paint I use have a great drying time so that gets done really quickly. I tried a new laquer this time and it went on way better and dried much faster than the other stuff I've tried. No clouding or drips either. This should be done by tomorrow afternoon then I can get on with finishing up the Jazzmaster.

This got finished up yesterday but I've been out all day then had some anti-fat training tonight so I'll snap a pic tomorrow. My 2 way switch for the upper circuit is borked so I need to get a replacement, but apart from that it's all dandy. I'll also be replacing the neck pickup with a Jaguar one as soon as i can get my paws on one.

So I guess it's not quite finished yet

Cheers! It plays like a dream. I'm still shocked how well these pickups balance. I think I'll just keep it in here for now. Well at least until I can test it at a proper high volume at practice.

I'm really liking the black/mint combo with the Bn'B neck. Looks great.
I've been thinking about a Black Jazzmaster w/matching headstock for myself.

I used to be all about the matching headstock and B+B but over time I've started to prefer the natural headstock. I also prefer the plain neck too nowadays, tho I'd love a D+B Jaguar neck. I did come across one secondhand before but the binding was super thin on it, like it had been sanded at some point. It looked kinda fragile so I passed.

Massive props to you for your fantastic work on the body ;)
