I've not had a chance to get my hands on a squier cyclone yet, but I've got a MiM cyclone hh and I love it. I'd buy a cyclone II in an instant if one came up locally.... Be it fender or squier.

Hey, I don't care what ya guys think. That squier jaguar neck is on an all fender parts guitar and it is getting a new logo. The tape was there just to make it look like a jaguar neck for the time being. I have a squier duosonic, jazzmaster, jagmaster, cyclone, telecaster, stratocaster, and bronco bass and none of which have covered logos or swapped ones. So don't be saying I am not being honest with myself or I am embarrassed of having it say squier.. The musicmaster is a project guitar not a well built, stock squier.

That would almost make sense but if you didn't want it to look like a parts guitars, you wouldn't want it to say Jaguar. And the fact that you're changing it to musicmaster just proves my point that you actually care about what's on the headstock. If you really didn't care, you wouldn't change it. You can justify however you want. Are you putting "Squier Musicmaster" on it? That'd actually be pretty cool.

It's whatever. I'm not gonna argue over something so silly lol. I have tons of squiers and I want this headstock to say fender. It's not a big deal. I know it's a squier neck. So many people do the same thing. Are you asking them the same thing? Haha. Speaking of squier musicmasters though they are extremely nice guitars and you can get them on eBay for around $200.00

Yes, if someone puts a Fender decal on a Squier part on this board, more than likely, they'll receive crap about it.

he hasn't done it yet and the fact that he's not willing (or at least has to think about) paying $20 for a decal makes things different. Also, he's not messing with A PERFECTLY GOOD NECK to change the neck, he's adding a logo because he painted over it. If you can see the difference between the two situations, you're a moron.

Lol I'm a moron now beacuse I am refininishing my squier neck? You amuse me. I spent $25.00 on the logo btw. I didn't buy a complete jaguar and part it. I bought the neck from ebay. I bought it and I will do what I want with it. Your being an ass over something that is not a big deal man. Pick a fight with someone else. You're obviously defensive about the subject because a small part of you knows I'm right. It's okay to want a Fender logo on the headstock, it's the same thing that makes you buy brand name anything. I just don't see what you can't admit that? You're not fooling anyone but yourself.

Admit what? Didn't I already tell you it is a squier neck and I don't want this guitar saying squier? How am I lying to myself or anyone else? Lol... It's entertaining to see the tangents people go off on. But as for the original topic, sounds like the consensus is that they're pretty close. Probably not worth the extra $300 or so for the MIM...
