I love tortex picks, they're the only thing I can seem to hang onto when I'm playing a show. Every other pic falls out of my sweaty hands. I don't find them dull sounding either. I hate fender picks, I've always had problems with them breaking and wearing down too quickly. I hardly ever wear through tortex picks. I keep an orange medium tortex pick tucked under the pickguard of my p bass so I always have one and I'm pretty sure it's been the same one there for about 2 years, and I'm just now noticing that it seems a little worn down.

The worst picks ever are those Fender "California clears", I think they're called. I had a pack of them when I first started playing and they got super scratchy and scratched the shit out of my first guitar and the color came off in the scrape marks.

Yeah that's another thing I'll say about Tortex, they may wear down faster than some other picks but they don't snap in half. All picks wear down, many break.
But picks are like strings: there's no wrong way to do it and it's all about your hands, strings, setup and the way you play. Finding the right pick can really help you nail down a comfortable feel, and using one you don't get on with is hampering. Different picks can come in use for different styles too.

do we need to order more?
I still have an envelope full of them. I wish I'd opted for greens instead of the yellows now.
