Damn Richard! This is looking amazing! It blends so nicely. I see you got the guard cut too. It looks great. Love the strat switch rout. Debating on actually getting it professionally done like the Jag-Stang 2.0 but what color?
Congratulations! Your Punkacc9 evolved into Awstin.

Unbelievable! What an amazing transformation, you certainly know what you're doing. Epic woodwork skills on show here.

Thanks, there's a guy over at reranch that goes by SGLou that does amazing restorations. I stole everything from him.

Thanks George. It's the power of Titebond.

You should really give painting a go yourself one day. You can do like I do when I paint mine. I strive for a perfect finish but end up with a well kept relic at best.

Thanks. It was a '66 Mustang body I believe but with all the new wood added I figure it averages out to a late 70's mustang body now.

Thanks Thomas,

I still have the matter of those holes to deal with but they've been filled on the front at least.

When I was drilling the holes on the back for plugs I hit metal grommets of some sort.
I'm guessing that they were there for some kind of trem. Maybe a Bigsby? Who knows.
Anyway, I need to pick up a 1/2" dowel tomorrow.

Damn. Surprise after surprise. And I don't know. After all your work to restore it, I think I might just get it done really nice. I don't know.

Awesome! It looks great. Are you going to fill the small dents? I'm using a JB for the humbucker so you can just do the regular mounts for the humbucker mount.

Everything has been sanded about as level as I can get it. It feels good and smooth. Sanding sealer should take care of the rest.
The paint spots on the back are level and the old paint has filled the small dings.
The JB, is that a single screw each side?
