If the serial number starts with an R It's an early peerless model if it starts with a P It's a later one.
Epiphone KOREA: I= Saein, U=Unsung, S=Samick, P or R=Peerless

If the serial number starts with an R It's an early peerless model if it starts with a P It's a later one.

I haven't. Not been playing as much these last few months to be honest and hardly get a day off work to do demos.

All the best sub-$500 Gibson/Gretsch style guitars I've ever played have been Korean. They've got that shit firmly in one sock.
My two Korean Epis were easily as good as my two CIJ Fenders.
I wonder if they'll make the G400 there again, perhaps out of mahogany (current China ones are top-veneered luan)
