Nicest guitar I've played (for feel) was a Telecaster USA Deluxe while I was looking for a new Strat. But I wanted a Strat.

Nice score. Knowing it's an '80s MIJ is the coolest part of the equation.

However, the rosewood board is playing tricks with my eyes, not to mention all perceived classic telecaster thoughts in my brain.

Here is my friends and they look very similar. This one is from Rick Kelly Custom Guitars NYC. He got it almost 2 years after he ordered it during a couple of shows in New York. Its really nice. It weighs nothing!

Might not be long before it's finding it's way to a new home 8)
go for it man! my love for offsets never diminished with having/keeping a tele, it only broaden my sense of perspective and taste :D

I actually love the rosewood fretboard. I know what you mean by the "classic look" with the maple neck and all but I also like it as it is. Check this video:

Take it! My Tele is by far the guitar I use the most, and the driving factor behind selling 5 other guitars (my 333, dipinto, 2 strats, and the oddball devlin). It's just such a nice NICE guitar, I didn't see the need for so many.

Sadly though, now my house looks like I'm a Fender endorsee, since there's nothing else.

I also own mostly Fender/Squier guitars and it makes me feel like a walking billboard for the company :)
