If you're planning on leaving the Oscillation circuit in it... you should call it a Dwarfcraft Creature, not Fender. ;)

Really, it's that circuit that makes it what it is...

Not sure about that part yet. I will need to play with it once it arrives. :)

it would be an abomination to take that circuit out.

it is more fun than anything you would ever put in there.

No plan either way until it arrives and I can play with it. :)

I honestly don't know why people are so up in arms about me keeping an open mind on how I will deal with this guitar. (Which while has been owned by a couple of people is now MY guitar.) Is it some unspoken rule that you cannot mod a guitar that has been modded before? Do all people have to like oscillation?

Having a circuit that makes funny noise over the guitar sound COULD be interesting, but like I said, I am waiting to see it before I make any decisions. From the video demo it looked difficult to use and play at the same time because you would need to fiddle with the rollers while playing the guitar at the same time. I might enjoy it.... I might not. I won't know, again, until it actually gets here and I have a chance to play with it.

Rest assured... if I don't like the circuit, I will have it for sale or trade for a normal rhythm circuit so you can get your oscillation on... ;)

I agree, once you own it, make it yours. BTW I voted charcoal/black but it didn't register.

This is not a general rule, but there are some guitars that catch people's fancy. You happen to have one of them . It's yours, do what you want, but the comments are a free for all. You aren't going to get everyone patting you on the back. Hell, when I heard it had been painted, I was like " what.........!?"

Sexy! I like charcoal. I am thinking of doing a metal flake green. Kind of an homage to what it was before with the stain, but something different for fun.

I enjoy opinions and such when I do builds. (or I wouldn't post them on forums lol) i have just been suprised st how many "it needs to be like ______" comments I have seen. Input is totally cool. :) Some of them are just feeling more like mandates.

Know what I mean? Everyone has their own thing and you can't please everyone. I like input, but I am going to do what I think will make the guitar right for me so I can enjoy it. :)

Decided against using Fender on the headstock and am going with my own company name. I also gave credit to Cooterfinger who made the body and Dwarfcraft for the oscillation circuit built in. :)

I am still pretty set on Duplicolor Metal Flake Green.

I like your latest color the best and your new decal too. Also, my favorite pinball game ever was "the creature of the black lagoon."

Thanks! The gold would be using my new batch of decals with metallic paint so I think it should look pretty cool.

btw... make it your own, fuck this lot. Surely the circuit is what makes it Creature, but I also bashed that thing together with all the skill of a hyper active 3 year old so I'm not going to be too heart broken if it's made better than it was.

Thanks! I appreciate it. I like to try to keep it with a similar vibe, but I do want it to be mine. Might be as simple as cleaning off the guard and getting black pickup covers instead. I have a hard time planning a guitar without seeing it and playing with it to see if I am cool with it as is or different.

I think it is three ply black. Not sure yet. :) Hopefully it will arrive soon so I can check it out and get some pics up. (Plus I need to get it prepped for paint and repaired.)
