Generally telecasters hold up to some good old fashioned violence. Of course one with a contour would be best.

The point is, if you are playing heavy, higher gauge strings help prevent them going sharp. You can bend just as much if you already have the finger strength. I bend on my acoustic constantly, so I don't really get what you're getting at here.

I mean shit, SRV used 12s on a strat. You can bend them just the same as a light gauge if you have the hand strength, which if you already have issues with pressing hard enough to go sharp with 11s, you most likely have that hand strength.

Ham, put some 12s on that Paul and try it. It's way cheaper than buying a new guitar.

If I did get another guitar, I would probably sell the LP. I ain't made o money! But yeah, I'll be trying 12s for sure. Thanks for all the info guys :)
