Does this look ok or does it need the Jaguar switch plate? Never been a fan of the Jaguar switch plate on a mustang horn. Then I will have the concentric knobs for volume and tone of each pickup.
Have you considered using a blend pot rather than individual volumes? On my Jazz Bass I changed the 3 pot Neck Volume/Bridge Volume/Tone setup for a 2 pot Blend/Master Volume and it's much quicker to adjust and more intuitive. All of the different balances between pickups were available before but it's so much easier to find the sound you want. Being able to smoothly roll between the two pickups means I don't miss the tone control, though of course you could always try a concentric pot for Master Volume/Master Tone and still use a blend instead of individual volumes.

If you do decide to go for two concentric, or one regular one concentric, I'd definitely recommend going for this style. You can leave out the comic sans and retro user.homestead.com web address if you like.

Yep. These are the knobs I was planning to use.
Congratulations! Your Punkacc9 evolved into Awstin.
30" a nice Squier mustang neck (the rosewood one) went on eBay the other day for $56.00 I was so pissed. I was watching it and forgot about it. And checked it and it had already ended...

Do you have the bridge? If not perhaps picking up a whole Squier Mustang bass to take parts from would be a good move. Once you've sold the parts you don't want it would work out very cheap.
What do you guys think about a Musicmaster bridge for it instead of the mustang bridge? It might make it less cramped. Or do you guys think it needs the mustang bridge? And it's either I build this bass or the jag-stang 3.0 right now with the money I have.

Update: Fuck it. I just bought a Mikey way bass. It's on it's way to cooter. He's ordering the wood on Monday. The build has begun. The Jag-Stang 3.0 is on hold.

Selling the body, guard, and humbucker... (check cassifieds) As cool as they are... I might buy one of these just to keep stock one day. They're nice as hell. I decided it just made sense to buy one of these to rob the parts I needed. Plus I wanted the rosewood fretboard and the standard squier only came in maple.. Just need some mustang pups, jazz bass pup, and mustang knobs now. As for the neck, I am having HNB make me a custom Jag-Stang Bass logo like the photoshop. I am also thinking about staining the neck and glossing it like a Fender Mustang neck. Here's some pics:
please don't put a designed by kurt cobain logo on that. thats retarded. really, he didn't design a bass, he designed the guitar..... uuggghhh.
im glad someone is finally doing this tho!
