Should be done this coming week. I can't wait. I am having Marty at Lamar speaker cabs build me a 1x15 cab for it with a Jensen MOD 15-120 speaker. Black tolex, gold cloth, closed back, birch ply... Should be really nice. He even asked me to send pictures of the head so he could try to match cloth color as best as he could and tolex. Nice guy to talk to. Like the pic below, but gold cloth, not silver.
The cab is smaller than a normal Showman cab, but the head will still sit on it nicely and that should make it a little lighter to carry around.

Been awhile. It has been at Velvatone getting cleaned up and caps worked on. I got these pictures yesterday. Pretty awesome.
All finished! I got a vintage red jewel from him, but he also had a small amount of lemon colored ones. He said they are discontinued and kind of hard to find. They look gold with the light on. I like it a lot. IMG_3266 by Hentai No Baka, on Flickr
Jeff said the grime on it was really weird. It looked like rust (a little was), but it wiped off with water. (He also told me he avoids chemical cleaners as much as possible in favor of water and a fine steel wool. Sometimes he uses a little bit of soap, but not often.)

Nice! I had a blackface showman head that I bought when I was in high school (1977) for $50. I sold it a few years later with two 2 x 12 Jenson loaded cabinets for $250 because I needed money for dating. What a shame.

Cabinet came! It is awesome! (Aside from the metal corners that came black instead of chrome. I am sure Marty will send me some to swap.) Sounds great too. Once kiddos aren't napping, I will do a demo. VERY nice and warm. Tremolo is nice as well. I have wash cloths between the head and cabinet because the handle on the cab is taller than the head's feet. I will need to find a better way to lift the head up a little. Coasters or something?
