thats fine. show me photos of multiple fiesta red broncos from 67 and lets have a friendly debate

one fiesta red bronco haning on a wall isn't going to convince me of anything other than guitar center lies thier ass off to mark up shit beyond belief. (which i already know)
I'm not doubting you. You have more bronco experience than I do. I never talk to GC dudes, I saw it meself and held it, it wasn't dakota, it was mofuckin fiesta, it almost matched exact to a fiesta Jagstang they had. It had to be original it was too worn to not be. But I also read somewhere in my searches that fiesta red wasn't officially named that when they painted them, so perhaps it was "red" of different shades?

Here's another GC w/ a fiesta red one.

I dunno? maybe, but it would have had to have spent its life in the sun in this case. :?

I'll keep searching and see if I can find the article I read about the fiesta red's birth and its use on the bronco.

I read that in the movie "the buddy holly story" that busey is playing a bronco in the roller rink scene, and it wasn't even available or dreamed about then.

Yeah its supposidly a bronco in that scene and all the other scene's he's playing 59 strats w/ CBS headstocks? I'll have to rent it and see for myself as its been too long since I've seen it. And I read that they show mountains in the scenes that are supposed to be in Texas.

Well, I guess it was just faded to hell and back or was refinished ages ago? I wouldn't make something like that up. I was mis-informed then.

Now that's funny. White like OJ's. His was white until it became Dakota.

Why is there only one page of Discussion here?

Damn this is an old thread.

I decided on Daphne Blue, I'm still working on getting the body ready to be painted though, sanding this thing is a bitch, and I haven't had a lot of time to work on it.

Thanks for the suggestions Landon, but I've already decided on Daphne Blue. I don't want to do a metallic color since it's my first attempt at refinishing a guitar, and metallics are supposed to be harder. I'm doing sherwood green metallic for my jagmaster project which I'm starting on after the bronco is finished.
