Well I'm just getting off work. Gonna go home and sleep then go play some at the music store. If I don't like them there's a scumbag sparkle blacktop jaguar for 300.

I finally got to play the jaguar today. Surf green model. I really liked it. No static on any of the knobs or switches and the only string that had some fret buzz was the low E. The guitar felt great. Totally un-squier like. It had some tiny strings on it though. I'm either gonna buy it Friday or put it in layaway.

Funny how I was interested in the jazzmaster but are getting the jaguar.

Fuck an 9.5" w/medium jumbo
It's for kids who don't want to admit they'd rather have a Gibson.

That's why I cut the bullshit out and have a 25.5" neck with 12" radius saved for something special. Tiniest neck I've ever had too, it's crazy comfortable.

The bridge parts issues was the same on £500+ CIJ Fenders, its not just these Squier models. One of the reasons an old bridge works better is because its already got grime and whatever else in it that secures everything.

I think these guitars are great, they need tweaking but that's the deal with these designs.

I love my Squier VM JM. At some point I may put some new pups in. I think that the bridge can work as well. Careful set up is a must. Heavy strings are a must too, I've found. I put in new grub screws from the hardware store and they seem to work better, poor threading be damned.

New grub screws cost like 50 cents each.

I got it out of layaway today and played it for a few minutes before work. It needs a good setup. Getting lots of string buzz. The nut looks cheap as well. I also noticed I really need a good amp which I Am in the process of getting.

After tinkering with it I got fed up with the bridge. Ordered a warmoth modified mustang bridge for it. Probably put that on and take it in for a pro setup. Getting mad fretbuzz almost like the cheap nut is fucked up from the factory.

So I got my new mustang modified bridge in from warmoth. I temp fixed the nut using the superglue method and set the neck relief to .008 at the 8th fret. Adjusted the pickup height to standard strat specs and lock tighted the new bridge saddle screws. Put on some .011's.

This thing feels really good right now. That bridge is great. Every string is intonated perfectly except the G but its very close.

I really want a Jazzy now. I just wish the guitar center near me would stick more high end Squires. All they have is a CV Tele, a couple Bullets, and a Mini Strat.

I so would, if I had the cash. Although, the sonic blue and sunburst JMs got my eye too. I don't know what to do.
