the highway ones had faded finishes. you could see the wood grain though all the finishes. I played a green one once. It was a good guitar.
I saw the green one in a shop across town for like $650.. then i saw another green one in a different shop in town for $725. Told the guy i'd seen the same one across town for cheaper.. he told me his boss went and bought that guitar and i was now playing it... fuckers!

I read somewhere they were finished this way so that they would wear/relic easily and naturally. I can believe that because some hot cigarette ash marked the one i had.
It was a blue model, never seen or knew of a Pink model, glad you spotted it wasn't original. Still, it looks cool.
