Could it be automated? It's a really dickish email to come from an actual person, so I guess they're using some sort of SEO software which checks the site referrer logs, sending shitty emails at random with idiotic threats, ruining their site's reputation.

the irony is what was a harmless link to a product they simply don't carry anymore (NOES!) has become a thread about how stupid they are, and there isn't a chance in the pit of hades i will be censoring or otherwise altering this thread for them again.

In other news, this is a delicious pedal.

Which I really want (there's one over in the ILF classifieds), but black friday madness has tapped me out. :(

I've heard it can't be bought from http://www.soundsgreatmusic.com/‎ though. Bear that in mind.

I hear http://www.soundsgreatmusic.com/‎ also stopped stocking Moollon pedals, too.

I'm sure http://www.soundsgreatmusic.com/‎ stock other great items, though.

Hahah....the tone of their email basically insinuates that they've done plenty of Black Hat SEO in the past, ended up being penalised by Google with algorithm changes & now are scraping the internet for any links to them & auto-firing out these kind of comms.

Thing is, this site is contextually relevant & they's be unlikely to get any negative impact on their rankings by these kind of links anyway. Problem is, they've no doubt paid some shady dudes peanuts in the past to get links anywhere they can & now they're having to result to damage limitation.

Having worked on the outskirts of the industry myself, I have witnessed people do some mad shit to their websites to try to play the system & it invariably only ever works in the short term at best.

It's a shit business

You're probably right. We're possibly just making the whole shit situation worse, to be honest. From this point on we should probably try to avoid linking to their site altogether in case they get the internet police on us.
