I've been thinking of your tele since this thread started. Looks very organicaly. Don't forget to post your Gretsch style Epi.

Yeah, I believe I've been seeing this Jagstang hybrid for four years now, on this and maybe other Forums. Technically, yep, it's one helluva hybrid. But doesn't "Hybrid" sound a bit too classy for this taped an scarred FrankenJag? Like "hybrid" makes me picture this axe on a white linen tablecloth at a flower show... :(

I'd say it's becoming Forums-legendary. So who's is it...Thom? Fran?

Cheers,

Cheers,
A French guy came on the forums a few years ago claiming it was his. Seemed genuine enough.

Curiosity's piqued now for the quest..."Who has the legendary red FrankenJag?"

Cheers,

Yeah, I'm sure I had a link to his band at some point, but no idea where it is now.

I think that's right. Was just googling Jag-Stangs and found other pics of that guitar posted on a french guitar forum.

Well thank you. the Epi, a 96 Korean, was just a strip and stain thing, messed the back up. My first refin attempt. Dumb kid painted it black with a lightning bolt, painted over the binding . You can see my over sanding of the finish. At that time internet experts claimed that finish was like armor, impossible to remove. I stopped and touched it up the best I could. I was afraid of melting the binding so I sanded lightly and then used Goof Off to remove the black . A lot of labor. The pick guard , I hate, removed it , that's all. I get a Billy Zoom wanna be vibe from that thing

It's a green/ brass thing, not really gold. I had it professionally set up, stays in tune , nice action. The Tele I set up myself, my shredder neighbor kid thinks I did a fine job. and thank you again for your compliments.

I know those yellow switch tips are much mocked, I choose it for color, not relicing

You know all relic attempts are part of the guitar's 'history..."then some dumbass used a belt sander, drilled multiple holes, and smeared blood all over it" If Jimmy Page did it it would be cool
