Right, which makes me wonder if the hot channel just has a larger value capacitor connected to the 3rd pin of the first input tube. Or, does the hot channel cascade the second 12AX7. Seems weird to have two 12ax7's in a low wattage amp that doesn't have a tone stack. Looking forward to a schematic.

i'd like to give it a go. i played one excelsior amp at a guitar center and thought it was tits. just a great sound all around for lil jams and recording. tho... i saw a peavey classic 50 the other day for 400 bucks..... so..... meh if i spend any money on an amp it would probably be something more like that.

not tried one myself. i like that fender are trying new cab designs, but i don't dig that pattern on the covering

I agree it looks like reject curtain patterns. Why not go tweed?? Duh...
