My '73 is a bighead; I guess my '08 isn't but it doesn't bother me.

Big head for the win. I think my all time favourite is an Oly Strat with maple neck, big stock and bullet truss. Preferably well aged. I love Teh yngwie malmstain

Do like that on Daphne Blue/Sonic Blue Strats.

I prefer the small headstock though.

Careful there! It's a national tresure you're talking about.

I'm partial to either a small headstock, or an early Jazzmaster one

definitely the larger headstock overall, but the smaller one looks very classy itself most of the time.

i used to think i liked all of the large Fender headstocks, but i grew to hate the one on the Mustang ('65 RI at least). it's just too damn big and "pregnant", looks like a goofy ass paddle from certain angles. oddly enough, it's pretty much the same as the big Strat headstock, but the body shape of the Strat makes it look more proportionate.

turns out that my favorite Fender headstock is on the Jaguar and Jazzmaster. bigger (longer?) than the traditional Strat, with a graceful curve and not that funny bulge. the mid-60s Hagstrom headstock is like this as well, though sometimes they rounded off the "heel" too much.

There was a third strat headstock. Check it.

You mean the one discussed at some length in the attached article, Timothy?

Oh come on... the incorrect small one is mentioned two thirds the way through. In an article about headstocks.

Another one I've enjoyed over the years. I also have never seen another matching headstock 1966/1967, bound neck, stratocaster let alone in this color.

As it is today.

I like them both, but prefer the classic small headstock. The larger one reminds me of Bigsby's headstocks, which is who Leo Fender copied despite his denials over the years.
