Thanks! I like that the truss rod in the Japanese ones are titanium. Seems high tech. LOL They also got the bridge right vs the smaller ones that don't intonate correctly. SneakyT on OSG wanted to make a template from my guard to be able to make these for other people. It is pretty cool stuff and I got a good deal on some nice tort! :)

Thanks! I am pretty happy with how it turned out. It is strange to play these. I can do guitar chords, but the it sounds different because of the thick strings. Playing it like I play bass seems odd also because I am used to four string basses. It is really cool and the pickups are neat. You can get a more guitar sound or a more bass sound depending on the pickup choices and use of tone knob. :)

i'd been using mine through a bass amp (and a shitload of dirt, admittedly) and like how it sounds, but just recently used it for some recording to get a really plucky 60s tone through my guitar amp and it sounded very cool. if i were playing bass in a straight up rock band i'd probably still opt for a 4-string just to get that grunt (but that could be because mine still has the shitty stock strings).

I think this could hold it's own as a bass fine if I play through my bass amp with the tone bassed up also. I like it through my guitar amps though. A lot of fun with Fuzz or Overdrive. :)

yeah, it can definitely hold its own, just a very different sound to a P bass or something.
