What is the most you have ever paid for a guitar?

$1900, Les Paul Standard in 2005 special ordered (not by me) with aged hardware and then sold on consignment at GC.
Got an AV '57 Strat in 2001 but they were priced in the $900s at that time, so its probably appreciated a lot more than the LP.

I spent a little over 2 large on my Taylor 614ce. I had wanted it for years and could never afford it. My wife bought it for me as a wedding present.
The guitar shop gave me a good deal on it since they went for a lot more and I got it in a limited blue color and 3 piece maple back. My Taylor is from 2001 and has the hard case with the pink plush interior. They went to black a couple of years later.
I doubt I would ever spend that much again but Taylors are quality and worth the investment.

I ordered an EGC five months ago. ($2280) Paid in three installments though.
Next purchase might be a full length mirror.

£1250 for my Jazzmaster if you don't include the ridiculously expensive shipping from the states and comedy tax.
For a new guitar it will be just over £700 I paid for my Strat earlier this year.

How's the strat working out Chris?
I don't think I've ever spent more than 500 on a whole guitar - probably a new Epi Sheraton many years ago (my de-facto only guitar selling regret in fact).
I've probably spanked more than that on buying guitars and doing them up and modding and stuff.

I also have sheraton regrets, rose tinted nostalga glasses I think though. Playing new ones don't sound like the sounds I have in my memories

I think it was a 72's RI Jap Tele Thinline I bought back in 1999 for about £550, the only guitar I ever bought new. Unfortunatley when I moved back to London a couple years later I had to sell it...... still, managed to feel better when I picked up a Jap Jazzmaster & Korean Sheraton for £150 each.
