So I was doing the wiring work and got everything connected and screwed down when I noticed the paint rubbing off..... I decided to hit it with fine steel wool and just have it matte that way. Not a perfect finish, but it is a fun looking guitar and is really soft finish wise. I am pretty happy. Just looks more worn now. Just need strings.
Oh of course. I think before I put strings on I will try using my 3000 sanding pad on it and see if I can get it a bit more uniform as far as the swirls go. Steel wool is cool, but FREAKING messy. LOL Going to pick up strings on the way home today.
All strung up with .11's. Sounds good! Finish didn't turn out like I wanted, but I am still happy with it. It is kind of like my white Cyclone. The finish is worn and scuffed up, but it is soft also. I even found a spare black back plate that fit.
