I'm just gonna post pictures of hot EGCs in this thread.

EGC are building the newly relaunched Travis Bean guitars, based on Travis' 1997 "Pan" design, where the neck and back of the body are all one piece milled from a solid block of aluminium!
They'll be sharing a booth at NAMM, you ALBQers should check 'em out.
I just got word my own EGC will be finished shortly after the show...
AM EXCITE

That semi looks unreal. Guy on ILF has it, and by all accounts, he's very happy with it.
Are you getting a custom? How long have you waited?

If it's done after NAMM, it will have been 8 months.
I was hoping the timing would work out like this, before things got even crazier.
Custom, but nothing too out there. Body shape they've done before, matt black powdercoated, gibson scale buzzo spec neck....
The only thing that required special attention was that I wanted the huge Bean repro pickups, but with the option to coil split. Basically an all aluminium TB1000S.
from the new website:
Regular and Signature instruments have a wait time starting at 9 months (depending on finish choice) from the time of deposit and customer-approved invoice until completion.
Custom ordered instruments have a wait time starting at 12 months from the time of deposit and customer-approved invoice until completion.

Calling Dub and Tim!
How heavy are your guitars? Do they have any radius, or are they flat? Did you specify the thin or thick neck (prob more for Dub that question), and how thin or thick is it?
I'm getting twitchy for chopping in guitars I don't need or play.

Good questions! I'll take some photos and stuff tomorrow to show you what's what.
In short - it's relatively heavy, but not ridiculous. The neck is very thin, but a normal width. There is a very slight radius, because I requested one. Mine has vintage narrow frets.

I don't get the bridge over the picguard, but I guess that 95% of guitar players would never breake into their guitars anyway. Other than that they all seem nice enough to me.

Yeah, I suppose that is kinda funny. Here's a couple of old shots of the innards of mine:

Angus,
I don't have any way to weigh the guitar, but I'd say it's between 10-11lbs, my body's a little bigger than the default model and the pickups are heavier too. Heavier than most guitars around these parts I guess but if you can hang with a les paul, nothing intimidating.
All EGCs now have a standard radius of 12", unless you specify otherwise. Kevin can work up whatever you want. Pretty big stainless steel frets. My neck was to buzzo specs, which other than the scale I'm pretty sure matches the standard neck dimensions.
width at nut - 1.64 inches
width at body - 2.125 inches
thickness at nut - .6 inches
thickness at body -| .66 inches
neck radius - 12 degree
I compared those to my other guitars and found that they really fit what I like. I couldn't have specced it up better myself. The nut width of my Yamaha, slim and fast like my SG, and the fretboard width and radius is the same as my Gibson.
There is a fatter neck profile you can choose, which I think is based off an old les paul custom of Kevin's? Don't quote me on that. And the chessie neck is a little different and thicker too.
You could specify exact measurements, but that would incur costs I'm sure.
I'm very happy with it, I thought about what I wanted for a long time before ordering. I did have a more expensive idea for a similar guitar that was more like a TB Artist, and I asked Kevin about doing the full carve out of aluminium (as opposed to the german carve he's done before) He was keen but the cost seemed huge for something pretty aesthetic. So I decided for a stripped down TB standard inspired thing. I always loved those earlier flat black and polished aluminium EGCs like the ones he made for ISIS.
I probably should have gone for it, as with the price increase what he quoted me back then was a bargain. Now it would no doubt be getting into the travis bean reissue territory. Plus over the wait I would never have missed that money, aha.
Although I have no doubt that I would still be waiting.
Skullservant over on ILF has a EGC with a raw aluminium neck. That's maybe the only thing I'd change about the guitar. Just because I didn't know that could be an option, and the combination of a dull raw neck and a flat or anodized body would look nice and utilitarian. and, no finger marks....

That's awesome info, thanks Tim and thanks Dub.
I'm pleased to hear that they have 12" as standard, I thought they were completely flat. I think I'd go for a production mode (based on cost and not wanting to wait for 100 years). I like the look of the SG shaped one, or the Albini one. I guess I'd need to decide on whether I wanted an aluminium body or a wooden one.
I'm a bit nervous of shelling out that amount on a guitar I've never played, but the resale prices seem good enough that if I hated it, then I would be able to live with the amount I'd lose on it.
Think the waiting times are now at about 9 months for a std model, so I guess when you spread it over basically a year, it's a manageable situation.
One last question, do either of you have any neck dive with them?
Thanks, and sorry for the hundred and one questions.

No neck dive to speak of. It's pretty well balanced.
If you're ever near North London you can try mine!
