Got word back, tony cant recreate the try for copyright reasons, BUT he can repainted one, so now the hunt goes for another truss rod to send over. Besides ebay, anyone know any other resources for finding one?

1. Clear material
2. cover with tape and cut tape to form "Rickenhacker" (or "Rickenbarker", as above)
3. spray gold
4. take tape off
5. spray black

you can cut it to shape before 1. or after 5., doesn't matter. 2. is the hardest to get right

I'd recommend you vintage style Gotohs from Stewmac stewmac

Actually I didn't try exactly them, but I ordered some Grover-mini style Gotohs and they are of premium quallity. Also I bought a set of modern made in Korea Klusons for my LP Jr kit and they are not great, I think Gotohs are better.

I am debating a couple truss rod covers as pick guardian can do a really good repainted for $20

And *if* that works I will go gold plastic and ditch that annoying 5 knob setup for 4 nice radio knobs

Pickguardian makes Rickenbacker style trussrod covers? They are not listed on their webpage.

The don't make them as it is copyright infringement (I would be really tempted to buy a Prickenbacker on if that was the case, fuck their copyright bs), but they can respray them different colours as seen above.
