Whoa, what?! Are you telling me the iStomp is basically already unusable? Damn. It was such a cool idea too.
As for X-mas presents, I got $160 total, a tin full of European chocolate covered wafers, and a duct tape wallet. My sister also gave me a porcelain pig shaped cookie jar that I put my wafers in, but that was more of a "I don't want this, take it please" sort of thing. I also already used $35 to buy an Ibanez AW-7 Auto Wah pedal, as I've been wanting an envelope filter for some time now.

I walked into the office on the 26th and found a brand new iMac i5 27" sitting there with a packet of 16gb ram cards and dedicated external Thunderbolt dock with something like 10 more ports of all flavors. The company boss said I can retire our 2011 iMac i5 to my house, so I'll have a week of installing to do onthis new badboy, starting with a migration run via Maverick. Been running the old one hard for over 2.5 years now, so as company policy to avoid a disaster of sorts, the switch was in order and much welcomed.
Moving to the world of 64bit and freeing up a lot more RAM to run multiple virtual instruments is the main thing on my mind. Despite smooth sailing with my beloved Waves Mercury Suite and much-accumulated KONTAKT libraries, the growing pains for me will no doubt lie in my resistance to the new 64bit OS' demand for MOTU's latest DP8, which in many ways did away with a lot of things us Digital Performer lovers so embraced in versions up to DP7.
Vox Delaylab for me, from my brothers and mum. I can't really work it yet but I've found a couple of setting where I can make my one guitar sound huge, which is pretty good as a two piece is all I can really muster these days.
I'm also in the market for a volume/expression pedal..I think dunlop has a new one that i like. It's black and has diamond plate so i'm sold on the way it looks.
I also got rocksmith 2014 for ps3. I haven't had time to try it but it said it could teach me how to play the guitar in 6 weeks..ha
My EHX epitome should be here tomorrow if i'm still here when fed ex delivers..They'll probably throw it through the front window if we aren't..yay..It's almost 400 bucks but it does a lot so it's worth it. My wife went with that one instead of the thirdman records one. She probably read the thread about it...ha

I probably am too for the above mentioned delaylab, what is the story on these things, are expression pedals pretty much compatible with everything thing or do you have to have the 'right' one? And how do you choose the best one? I'm pretty much clueless on this.

Man..i hear ya..I'm going through it now. My EHX Ravish Sitar allows an expression pedal and it's waaayyyy better with one..but which one is compatible and will a volume pedal work as an expression pedal etc..So i'm researching this the last few days and when i get some info then i'll report back. Some of them are also midi controllers so i'm getting confused. Someone on this board has to be the go to volume/expression pedal guru..

I found a cheap FAB Distortion in a local shop when I was home. It's pretty neat. Also got a 10-pack of GHS Boomer 11's and a "Dirtbag" guitar strap from my folks.
