Yup, the body is paulownia, which is really really light (think almost balsa) but seems sturdy enough. The neck pocket... was way too tight for the neck and needed to be enlarged to fit it. As I stated before, the finish looks nice... as long as you don't look too close. I'd say that if you are a somewhat-of-a-fuckup (I most certainly am) with these projects do not get bodies from GFS. Unless you have the facilities to actually lacquer/paint and the tools to do it.
Routing was also quite shoddy, the routs were really hard to cover with the pickguard. Pickguard is otherwise just fine, it simply did not fit properly on the body AND cover the routs at the same time.
As for the headstock I'm going to keep it as is for now. Didn't have anything to put under the gloss, so I'm probably just going to slap some silly sticker on it when I stumble across one.
